Setting permissions creates an auto window popup without clicking a menu link. The menu link in the block works. I read that it is possible to use views and cck in depth to create permissions for that blocks usability but is that the only way to rectify this problem?

Title: Setting permissions creates an auto window popup without clicking a menu link. » FLOATING WINDOWS: Giving permissions automatically creates an auto popup! [NO RESERVE]

Floating Windows Module:

This module provides you both an API as an User Interface to create draggable
inline windows which can be used to display messages, images, load drupal forms
and lots of other things.

The module depends on jQuery Plugins.

Problem:

Access Permissions creates an auto window popup of login "Floating Windows" without clicking a menu link. The menu link, "login", in the block also works. I read that it is possible to use views and cck in depth to create permissions for that blocks usability (thereby removing the page access permissions) but is that the only way to rectify this problem? I must be doing something wrong here because I couldn't see this module producing such results.

I don't quite understand your problem. So the window is opened automatically? If that's the only issue you're experiencing, you can solve it by unchecking the 'show on load' checkbox in the window's configuration page.

Awesome that fixed the problem. I was so glossy eyed with the code that it was right in front of my face. Thanks for the quick reply. It fixed this other problem I was having with a dialog box popping up every page saying I need to upgrade drupal core. You can close this now. Thanks again.
